CAT 1 I ENERGIES MIX & LOW-CARBON INDUSTRIES (INCLUDING CCS/CCUS)
PRE-SELECT NOMINEES I SPECIAL EARLY-STAGE
WE INVITE ALL STAKEHOLDERS IN A NEW & VIBRANT EXPERIENCE
FARM TO FLAME (US)
Farm to Flame Energy makes carbon-neutral generators that operate at half the cost of diesel generators.
Our smokeless-odorless process enables low maintenance and partnerships with industry giants like Georgia Pacific (largest producer of U.S. Biomass Electricity).
LEVIATHAN DYNAMICS (FRANCE)
Leviathan Dynamics is an industrial DeepTech / Cleantech. The current solutions for cooling/heating are emitting powerful Green House Gases with high warming potential and water contamination impact. We, at Leviathan Dynamics, use water as a natural refrigerant and preserve water by re-using it. Our solutions fight Green House Gases (GHG) and preserve water in a circular way. We design and build game changing compressors and machines that: 1-produce cooling and heating using water as natural refrigerant through HVAC, Chillers, Heat Pumps 2-clean waste water through Evapo-concentrators with less electrical energy.
NIVEAU-UP (US)
NiveauUp's battery, Airbus-validated, of 10x faster charging, 3x longer life, and high energy density (but not the holy grail level), is shaping a new breed of hybrid EV (HEV) concept. We did resonate very well in the 1st engagement with the car company investing in solid state technology. None of the li-metal or solid-state batteries can deliver their promises by 2025, after taking huge VC or SPAC investment. Some of them manage to deliver higher energy density, i.e. ranges, yet at low life and low charging rates. This new HEV concept - ☞ Fast charging will be sold to consumers as the basic (in the EV). Solid-state batteries will be swappable as on-demand options, needed only for long-haul drives. ☞ It'll be "Lower total cost of car ownership" PLUS "Much longer range than Tesla when needed"! - a solid Tesla challenger, whereas China will find it hard to compete with. Like the movie, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the twist of the holy grail story would repeat again.
CAT 2 I AGRI-FOOD FOR SUSTAINABLE BIODIVERSITY & LAND-USE

WE INVITE ALL STAKEHOLDERS IN A NEW & VIBRANT EXPERIENCE
C16 BIOSCIENCES (US)
Founded in 2017 and based in New York, C16 Biosciences is decarbonizing the consumer products industry with next-generation oils and fats, starting with palm oil. Found in over 50% of supermarket items, palm oil is ubiquitous. However, palm oil’s omnipresence and low cost has led to deforestation of natural rainforest and is responsible for ~6% of global GHG emissions. C16 is first tackling the $61B palm oil industry and then will expand to other oils and fats.
SAND TO GREEN (FRANCE)
Our mission is not just about planting trees. To feed our population we need arable land. Today, this land is disappearing to the benefit of soil aridification and leads to deforestation. This is why, through agroforestry, we fight against desertification and transform degraded land into arable land.
SOLAR FOODS (FINDLAND)
Food production, as we know it, is entirely dependent on land and weather conditions. Protein production is a massively disproportionate squanderer of the Earth’s resources. It’s time to enter the era of sustainable food production to liberate our planet from the burdens of agriculture.
CAT 3 I DIGITAL, SPACE & CLIMATE FINANCE
PRE-SELECT NOMINEES I SPECIAL EARLY-STAGE
WE INVITE ALL STAKEHOLDERS IN A NEW & VIBRANT EXPERIENCE
DESCARTES UNDERWRITING (FRANCE)
Founded by a team of seasoned insurers and climate scientists, Descartes Underwriting was born of the conviction that new technologies can deeply transform the insurance industry to better meet the needs of businesses as they adapt to climate volatility. Descartes brings a new generation of parametric protection to build trust in business continuity. Structured as a Managing General Agency and backed by a panel of tier-one (re)insurers, we collaborate with brokers globally to protect their corporate clients and governments against the full spectrum of climate and emerging risks. Descartes’ parametric insurance products address protection gaps for governments and corporations facing climate uncertainty. We are dedicated to providing covers that are fully transparent, customized to the client’s needs and provide swift claims payment. Our innovative edge stems from our ability to integrate new data sources and apply proprietary algorithms to unlock risk insights.
FLEET-SPACE (AUSTRALIA)
Fleet Space Technologies is an Australia's leading space company. Fleet operates from a state-of-the-art HQ in Adelaide, South Australia, and has recently expanded internationally to the US, which are global centres of excellence in space and advanced aerospace technologies. At Fleet, we are Explorers with a mission to connect the Earth, Moon and Mars and our team has rapidly grown to over 80 employees in the last 6 months. Fleet designs, builds and operates a constellation of micro satellites which delivers universal connectivity across the globe. Following an oversubscribed Series B funding round, Fleet will continue to build a constellation of 288 satellites. Recently, Fleet launched ExoSphere, a solution for the mineral exploration industry providing lightning fast, highly scalable 3D mapping solutions to pinpoint minerals and increase accuracy in drilling targets. Since launching ExoSphere, Fleet has signed contracts with over 20 customers.
SUSTAIN LIFE (US)
Empower every business to fight climate change
The climate crisis is humanity’s greatest challenge, but most companies don’t have the resources to help future-proof the planet and their business by fighting climate change. We’re here to change that with a solution that is uniquely designed to make taking climate action easier and more affordable.
Comprised of three former Walmart executives and an ESG expert with over a decade of experience in real estate sustainability, our leadership team is passionate about using their experience to scale tech solutions for climate action.
CAT 4 I CITIES FOR SUSTAINABLE BUILDING & MOBILITIES
PRE-SELECT NOMINEES I SPECIAL EARLY-STAGE
WE INVITE ALL STAKEHOLDERS IN A NEW & VIBRANT EXPERIENCE
DHRUVA (INDIA)
Real estate and construction activities contribute to 44% of global CO2 emissions. Yet, the only emission measurement options available today are (a) consultants who provide a one-time static document, or (b) generic platforms that serve multiple sectors. These options are expensive & slow and produce static documents rather than actionable insights. Our founders have both worked on and commissioned such reports. Our mission is to de-carbonise real estate by measuring, managing, reducing, offsetting and reporting carbon emissions. We aim to achieve this by keeping the process simple and accessible to all businesses that can make a difference.
MODALITY (FRANCE)
Modality is an insights-as-a-service software to pilot the mobility-mix of any territory. It provides turnkey studies to understand all the transport solutions in a territory, measure intermodality, diagnose access problems, and test the impact of new scenarios. Modality industrializes the production of data analyses required for sustainable mobility plans. It gives access in a few minutes, without configuration, to studies that would otherwise require several weeks of work and costly data processing. Modality transforms decision-making processes for stakeholders in mobility, urban planning smart cities: it replaces one-shot studies entrusted to consultants, with a scalable and iterative software. Doing so, it helps them better meet their environmental challenges.
TECHNO CARBON (FRANCE)
Protect the climate, biodiversity and natural resources, while meeting the needs of industrial players involved in the environmental impact of their activity. This is the objective of TechnoCarbon® France and its product, CarbonFibreStone® (CFS®).
The construction market is experiencing a (r)evolution of composite materials.
Developed taking into account the constraints of the modern world, most emerging materials seek to combine cutting-edge technology and environmental virtues.
The story begins in Germany in 1999 when Kolja Kuse invented and developed CFS®. He founds and bases TCT Gbr in Munich.
In 2017, during his research as an expert reviewer for the IPCC report, Stephan Savarese made an essential observation: The creation of two carbon sinks, one in agroforestry and the other in construction, proves to be indispensable to limit global warming to +1.5°C (the work will be published later in Chapter 4 of the IPCC SR-15 report, approved on October 8, 2018).
While searching for new profitable, and sustainable business models to scale up carbon sinks, Stephan Savarese met Kolja Kuse, inventor of the CFS®.
From this meeting was born one year later, TechnoCarbon®, a startup responsible for the development, commercialisation and industrialisation of CFS®.
